Homemade Bone Broth
Slow-simmered beef bone broth made from roasted beef bones with optional carrots and onion.

01Preheat oven to 450 degrees F, add the bones to a large baking dish and roast for about 20 minutes. 2. Add all ingredients to a crockpot, cover with filtered water and cook on low for 18-20 hours (12 at minimum). 3. Allow the broth to cool slightly and strain through a fine mesh strainer into a large pot or container. 4. Optionally strain a second time through a nut milk bag or cheesecloth to catch small fragments. 5. Chill the broth for 2-4 hours until the fat hardens, then skim the solidified fat off the top. 6. The bones can be reused 3-4 more times.
