Spicy Garlic Tofu

Press tofu to remove excess moisture, then cut into bite-sized cubes.

Ingredients (for 3 servings)

  • 1 whole โ€” Tofu
  • 14 oz โ€” firm tofu, pressed • 1 1/2 tbsp cornstarch • 1/4 tsp salt • 1/8 tsp black pepper • 1 tbsp neutral oil (for pan-frying)
  • 1 whole โ€” Sauce
  • 2 tbsp โ€” maple syrup • 1 tbsp gochujang • 1 tbsp reduced-sodium soy sauce • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 whole โ€” Aromatics
  • 2 tbsp โ€” neutral oil • 5 garlic cloves, minced • 1 small shallot, finely chopped • 2 green onions, sliced • 1–2 fresh red chilies, thinly sliced

  • 1 whole โ€” Sesame seeds • Extra green onions
