Coconut Chutney

Add coconut, roasted chana dal, green chili, ginger, lime juice, salt, and water to a blender.

Ingredients (for 4 servings)

  • 1 whole โ€” Chutney
  • 1 cup โ€” unsweetened shredded coconut (fresh or frozen, thawed) • 2 tbsp roasted chana dal (or roasted peanuts) • 1 green chili, roughly chopped • 1-inch piece of fresh ginger • 1 tbsp lime juice • 1/2 tsp salt • 1/3 to 1/2 cup water, as needed for blending
  • 1 whole โ€” Tempering
  • 1 tsp โ€” coconut oil or neutral oil • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds • 6 to 8 curry leaves • 1 dried red chili, broken into pieces
